Everyone,

We all have been asked to get our Fire Program Directors/Coordinators  to fill out the number of Cadets we have in our programs. OES wants to know how many  EMT students, Paramedic Students , Fire Academy Cadets , Nursing Students , RT Students we have that may be deploy to help in a limited role to help in a “worst” case scenario ASAP:

Matt,

The last sentence allows us to continue. I took this to mean skills training – small group maintaining 6 feet distance. I agree with your idea going forward with skills training and testing, small group format.

To that end, “effective Friday, March 13 through Tuesday, March 17, Santa Ana College and Santiago Canyon College will suspend all in-person and on-campus convening of classes and student support services.  Online and virtual instruction will begin Wednesday, March 18, 2020 through Friday, April 24, 2020. We recognize that not all classes and/or services can be moved to an online format. In these limited cases, some courses involving labs, studio instruction, career and technical education skills-based courses, performance classes, physical education and student support services may occur on campus.”

Thanks for the guidance and leadership.

Dear Linda,

I hope this message finds you safe and sound. I’m emailing with an important request. Would you help me forward this message to your Program Deans/Directors?  We’ve been asked to help inventory key supplies. Forgive me if you already received this.

John Cordova (SD for health) has put together this useful inventory link – please read the message below and forward to your college Deans/Directors as we work to get a solid inventory of these key materials for each of our sector programs. The goal is to collect the information by EOB Tuesday 3/24/20.

Thanks in advance for any help. Stay healthy, stay hopeful.

PPE Inventory Link

Email Request: 3/20/2020

The California Community College Chancellor’s Office with the state Office of Emergency Services (OES) and the Operations Center coordinating the COVID-19 response has asked that the California Community Colleges conduct an inventory of masks and other PPE that may be currently available at our colleges.

The Chancellor’s Office is asking that our program assists in developing a list that generally describes what products are available and where and a point of contact at each college.

We understand that precise numbers may be difficult to ascertain, but estimates by college and by region would be beneficial. Due to a limited supply of PPE statewide, we are seeking the assistance of the CC’s to provide our front line workers with possible support of resources. PLEASE do not at the time send out the supplies, unless otherwise directed by your local district of the Chancellor’s Office.

This information will be provided to the OES Logistics Task Force per their request.

Thank you for your assistance.
